Recently, Karma Automotive and Intel Automotive announced a collaborative partnership to shape the future of automobiles. Karma holds the distinction of being California’s first and only eco-themed luxury car maker. They are upping the ante of what the future of electric vehicles will become, by partnering with Intel Automotive. Together, through the sharing of information and technology, they have developed what they have named Software Defined Vehicle Architecture (SDVA). Going forward, they hope that this technology will be openly shared throughout the automotive industry to redefine and transform how future vehicles will be made
To quote the president of Karma Automotive, “For Tier 1’s and OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) not quite ready to take the leap from the old way of doing things to the new, Karma Automotive will play as an ally, helping them make that transition with business-to-business SDVA solutions in the same way we do today with Karma Connect, our proprietary Vehicle Data Management and Over the Air services platform, which presently provides services to the world’s second largest OEM.”
